Quality, Longevity, and the Natural World.

My products are made from quality dry wood, each piece is built to last for generations without splitting or cracking. All (non-metal) materials are sourced locally; in and around Pilar, New Mexico.

Seattle-born and raised; most of my youth was spent running around the city streets and playing in the nearby mountains and forests. I became very comfortable and confident in the natural world at a young age. I entered the construction trades as a teen and spent most of much of my twenties working my way around the world installing water treatment systems, solar systems, and detailed plumbing projects.

Years later I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where I operated my own plumbing and heating business before settling north into Pilar where I opened my own woodshop artesian studio. Here I mill much of my own wood, harvest beeswax for the oil blend I use to treat wood, and operate a CNC machine for detailed engraving. All of this is powered by the sun.

I currently spend half the year in Botswana, Africa working as a logistics manager for a private reserve. This position involves solar, water treatment, and wildlife conservation projects with a dynamic team from all over the globe. A percentage of future proceeds from Rio Grande Woodworks will be donated to our not-for-profit organization.
